The Hidden Reality of the 'Achiever' & The Liberation Through Microdosing
Hey there, Achiever!
Just finished recording an interesting podcast and a thought has been swirling in my mind:
The "Achiever."
Ah, you know them! The ones who reaped the benefits of their intellect, sports stardom in the arena of youth, ascending the corporate ladder like an Olympic sprinter. Sound familiar?
But what happens when they're racing through their 40s and 50s?
Crisis. Existential, midlife, call-it-what-you-want crisis.
Don't let the perfect exterior fool you. The high-paying job, the beautiful family, the luxurious sports cars. It's a facade, a mirage of societal perfection.
Their internal reality is a different story. A story of feeling lost and struggling to function. A story where COVID-19 played the villain, annihilating their sense of normalcy.
"Why am I doing all this?" they wonder.
This is the curse of the Achiever. Their worth, self-esteem, confidence tied to external praise, rewarded for "good behavior." Age takes away the rewards, leaving them bereft of confidence.
Now, the real question is, how do you loosen the grip of your "Achiever" self? How do you abandon the need to prove your worth?
Microdosing won't solve all your self-perceived problems, but pair it with mentorship and watch the transformation unfold. Microdosing has the ability to uncover the root of your need for validation, while mentorship and community provide a support system to navigate this journey.
Think it's far-fetched? I'll let you decide.....
P.S: I found this quote. It spoke to me, and I hope it does to you too.
"To be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest. To live fully is to be always in no-man's-land, to experience each moment as completely new and fresh. To live is to be willing to die over and over again."
